After university I moved west to follow my instincts and studied Culinary Arts at Dubrelle and other institutions. This adventure cemented a life-long passion that allowed me to work with some of the leading restaurateurs in Vancouver.
My experience ranges from event management at Total Luxury Caterers, to sous chef and human resource manager at Romano’s Macaroni Grill, to launching restaurants down the west coast of the US as a lead staff trainer. My move into creating and implementing staff training and development programs was a natural progression in my career and led to my current post as staffing coordinator at Home Depot.
However, food remains my passion and I have remained active in the trade through a series of restaurant consulting projects across the Lower Mainland and most recently with Zoteck where I focus on the ‘human’ side of the business.
I offer an intuitive ability to understand staffing issues and how they may affect our clients’ long term objectives. My university background has resulted in a detail-oriented approach to project management and material development, while my current position at Home Depot has given me an intimate knowledge of labour cost, scheduling, and legalities around staffing BC in general.
