My initial interest in food was kindled by travelling as a child with my family. The interest turned to passion when I graduated from UBC's Political Science program and headed to Europe. I remained in London working at leading restaurants for 5 years. I moved to San Francisco to study at the California Culinary Academy graduating with an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies.
I returned to Vancouver and began work at Bishop's Restaurant where I trained under a number of highly skilled chefs. After 2 years at Bishop's, I worked with Frank Pabst at Bistro Pastis where he challenged me to refine my skills under his tutelage. After many years in the kitchen, I returned to the front of the house at Trafalgar's Bistro as both catering manager and general manager for 4 years.
Since then I have been involved in launching Aquamarine Tasting Bar in White Rock, in a managerial role at Red Door Pan Asian Grill and currently as the catering manager at Potluck Catering.
I bring 20 years of restaurant experience to Zoteck including both front and back of house. My experience spans the sector across roles and responsibilities and has given me valuable insights into the many challenges that face restaurateurs in today's competitive market.
